Awesome Nail Transfers by Hungry Designs in collaboration with Sayuri Nail Lacquer!

Hey all!

I have a really cool collaboration to show you today! We all know that the biggest trend in nails at the moment is nail art, and to make it more accessible to the masses, the creation of nail wraps and transfers has boomed. I'm happy to show you the first instance of indie ready-to-wear nail art brought to you by the amazing minds of Hungry Designs and Sayuri Nail Lacquer!

The lovely lady behind the creations over at Hungry Designs is Amanda. She sells art prints, brooches, necklaces, postcards, homewares and stickers featuring all of her own original art that mashes together 90's Disney with modern pop culture references, think Day of the Dead Disney Princesses taking selfies all with a creppy cute twist, plus so much more. Be sure to head over to her Etsy page and take a look!

Amanda has created 12 individual designs for the transfers, and Anthea over at Sayuri has created a lovely neutral polish, named Blank Canvas, to draw spotlight to these super cute pieces of art! All the designs are super detailed given how tiny they are, which is a super great thing cause it means they can fit on everyones nails! Even the largest designs fit comfortably on the width of my nails.

Blank Canvas is a lovely neutral nude polish with a slight shimmer. It pulls a little yellow with my skin tone, but nothing to severe. I found this polish applied better with slightly thicker coats. Short nails you would get away with 2 coats, but I used 3 to get a smooth finish. I topped this off with 1 coat of Sayuri Quick Dry Top Coat.

The instructions for applying the transfers is super simple, trim off the excess white, pell off the protective plastic, place it onto the nail then saturate through the paper backing with a wet sponge and voila! If you've ever applied a temporary tattoo, it's the same process. When my nails where dry I applied 2 coats of Sayuri's Quick Dry Top Coat to seal the designs in.

Lastly I wanted to do something a bit more nail arty with the transfers. Anthea had also included one of her holos, State of Radiance, so I knew I had to do a gradient over Blank Canvas and use the bow and rose transfer design. This is so cute, a bit girly for me but still amazingly pretty.

These amazing transfers, plus Blank Canvas will be available from 9pm Sydney time (8pm Brisbane time) tonight, 13th October! You can pick up the polish and transfers from Sayuri's website, and  from Hungry Designs website.
