Today I have something really awesome to show you! The new collection from MckFresh Nail Attire, Sunnydale, based off the TV show Buffy, The Vampire Slayer! This was the first time for me to swatch a whole collection for a launch and I must say, I enjoyed the experience! This collection is absolutely gorgeous and it is going to be very picture heavy so read on after the jump!
First up is Angel, a shimmery blurple base packed with silver flakes, multicoloured flecks and blue bar glitter. The bar glitter was incredibly well behaved in this one, lay flat and has a wonderful iridescence to them, definitely compliments the polish. Photos show 3 coats with 2 coats of Poshe for a glassy finish.
Here we have Buffy, one of my favourites from the collection! Buffy has a black jelly base packed full of pink, bronze, copper and holo flakes, flecks and dust, it also has a duochome shift at extreme angles, pink/red to gold, pure perfection in a polish! Photo's show 2 coats over black with 2 coats of Poshe. To think, Kate was going to scrap this!
Another favourite of mine was Giles, a green/black base, with dusts, shimmers and flecks. Reminds me of a lighter version of butter London's Jack the Lad. Out of all of them, this one had a tendency to reveal any imperfections on the nail. Photos show 3 coats with 2 coats Poshe.
A another contender for favourite polish of the collection was Oz, a black/bronze holo polish. Ah-maz-ing. It isn't a linear holo, more of a scattered holo, but still quite strong in sunlight. The bronze base is so unique, love it to pieces. Photos are 3 coats with 1 coat Poshe.
Spike was a really plesent surprise for me, when I saw it in the bottle I wasn't wowed, but on the nail and in the macro you can see how complex it is. Spike is a black silver/green base with rainbow shimmer and flecks, and platinum flakies. You can really see rainbow shimmer in the macro, so pretty! Photos show 3 coats and 2 coats Poshe.
This is Willow, a black/plum base with red and maroon shimmers, fleck and dust glitters. I ended up really like this when I had it on, normally I steer clear of red polish for some reason, I dunno I think I find them too plain, but I enjoyed having this on. If I needed to tone my polish down for an event, I would turn to this. Photos are 2 coats with 2 coats Poshe.
Last but not least we have Xander, another favourite! Xander is a black blue/shifting slightly to green base with blue flakes and hints of gold dust. Lurrrrve! I'll let the photos do the talking for this one! Photos are 3 coats with 2 coats Poshe.
Overall, I loved this collection! All the polishes were very complex and each stood out on it's own. Most of them did need 3 coats, but I didn't find this an issue at all, and all dried down nice and smooth. The reason I used 2 coats of Poshe was that I really wanted a high gloss finish and when Poshe is new it's quite thin (I got a bulk 480ml bottle off eBay :D), 1 coat of a thicker top coat like Seche Vite would be perfect.
These polishes are available tonight at 8pm AEST from MckFresh's esty page. They are $10 for a 12ml bottle. Follow MckFresh Nail Attire on Facebook for more updates and collections.
