Lynnderella Mysterious Ways

Hi all!

A super quick post to show you photos of the last Lynn I own! It is the gorgeous Mysterious Ways. I wore this over Illamasqua Raindrops as I really don't have ANY other colours that are remotely close to use as undies :P

Mysterious Ways is a milky blue toned grey base and contains various silver holo, gunmetal and silver glitters in lots of different sizes. Photos show 3 coats Raindrops, 2 coats Mysterious Ways and 1 coat Essence gel look and 1 coat Poshe.

I'd love to wear this again over a more appropriate base, must buy more grey polishes! Oh and good news for us Aussies, Lynns can now be purchased from Glitter Connect for $24.95!

My Polish Desk

Hi all!

I've been wanting to do this kind of post for a while now, specially since I got this desk from the Mum-in-law. This is my polish desk! I got given it when the In-law's moved back to Scotland and I knew it would be perfect.

This is how I usually have my desk laid out (when it's tidy :P). I have misc stuff on the shelves, camera accessories, pencil case, sewing stuff and jewelry. Then on the desk I usually have my camera, lenses, notebook, acetone, buffers (for when I've got acrylic on my nails holding my patches together), silk patches, nail art brushes, orange wood sticks and glass nail files in one half of a macaroon box, top coats, duri, cuticle remover in the other half and all my hand creams and cotton pads.

I covered the top in a PVC plastic table cloth to protect it from any spilt acetone or polish, and it's held up really well. It has scattered holo glitter in it :D

A few random bits of info, we bought the fake skull from the Bone Church (Sedlec Ossuary) in Kutna Hora, Czech Republic when we where in Europe last year. The little bat mask was also bought in Europe, but at the goth festival Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, Germany. Oh and my cat's name is Mr Darcy, but we just call him Catpants. He usually likes to sit up on top of my desk when I'm doing my nails and puts fur everywhere!

Now the draws!

The top right draw hold all my spare top coats, files and all my nail art bits and pieces.

Second draw is my indie draw, aussies at the front and international at the back.

Third draw holds my Illamasquas, OPI, China Glaze, Revlon, Essie, Max Factor, Layla, Orly, Color Club and Butter London.

Bottom draw is for my acrylic supplies, acrylic paint, extra acetone, acrylic forms, spare cotton pads, thinner, gloves and bit's and pieces.

Top left is for my swatch sticks and other misc items. I store them on large necklace beading rings in no order. Thinking of getting smaller ones and sorting them.

Second draw is for cheapie brands, Australis, Essence, Kleancolor, Rimme, NYX, Maybelline, L'Oreal, BYS, Sally Hansen, Savv.

Third draw holds my packing supplies, bubble wrap, AusPost satchels, spare globes for my light and my external HD's. The bottom draw is nothing special, just our tax documents and bills and boring grown up things.

I hoped you've enjoyed this little view into my polish desk and storage. I love my desk.. and to think, my mum-in-law was going to throw it out!

Review: Cirque Queen Majesty

Hey all!

Today brings another review! I am a little behind in my reviews and I seem to have caught the blogging bug again so good news for everyone! I have found that if I just blog whenever I want every couple of days I seem to actually do it, rather than putting pressure on myself to blog every 3 days, it get's a bit to much if I'm tired or get caught up with other life things.

As you may have noticed if you've seen some of my other Cirque swatches, Annie has changed her bottles slightly, she now prints the Cirque logo directly onto the bottle and they also now come in their own box that shows all the essential information of the brand.

Queen Majesty is described as a radiant purple micro-glitter with glimmers of blue, and like most other Cirque glitters, it is in a clear base. I chose to layer 2 coats over Illamasqua Prosperity topped with 1 coat Essence Gel look and 1 coat Poshe top coat. It can reach opacity on it's own in 3 easy coats.

I love Cirque polishes, they basically apply themselves. Easy to control, thin but managable. I know I have mentioned this before but I also love the smell of them! They are infused with lavender and clary sage essential oils that give a lovely subtle scent.

Cirque can be bought locally from Femme Fatale Cosmetics in Queensland from $13 to $15.

Huge thanks to Sophie for passing this onto me for review. Click here to see the first half of my review from Sophie.
