One thing that shits me about being a gothy/rock girl, is going shopping. Mainly because I hate nearly everything that is in shopping centers, or everything I like is hideously expensive. Well, last weekend, the boyfriend and I decided after our amazing sleep in our new bed, so go for a walk around the city. So he showered, I got makeup-ed and we both got dressed. I grabbed my Hasselblad film camera and off we went. We ended up down at Pitt St mall, so I dragged Stephen downstairs for some amazing yum but gross KFC and pointed out to him this amazing jacket on a mannequin. Our quest for the day.. To find this amazing jacket and to see how horrendously expensive it was.

I took the above photo for reference as they had the shops listed that Myer used to put together the outfit and we started the search! At first I thought that the jacket may have been from Dotti, so we headed there first, no, not in their shop, ok fine, how about Temp? Nope, damn. As we headed downstairs I found a directory to try and find this Save The Queen shop, and a security guard asked if he could help, he then told us the shop was just in the walkway upstairs. As we where about to jump on the escalator I noticed a little lingerie shop and a gorgeous red bra on the rack. I bounded over and picked it up. $40, not bad, however $60 got you 2 bra's, oh wait, they are bra and undie sets? Score! Threw my card at the woman, and left the shop.
We headed up the escalators as instructed and started looking around. Then what do I see? Is that the.. yes! It's the jacket! There was a black version of the jacket on a mannequin right in the walkway as the security guard has said. Ok, now to see how much it is. I found it on the rack, grabbed the tag... $40!! You can't be serious! Ripped out a small and put it on. OMG it looks amazing! Wait, what's on the mannequin with the jacket? Oh wow, that skirt goes perfectly with it! Price? Also $40! Sold! $80 total for this gorgeous jacket and black skirt! This never happens to me! Normally it is a nightmare for me to find anything that is in my price range as well as my kinda style. Turns out that the Save The Queen stall was just a popup shop and the lady informed me that they where only going to be there for another week. Could not believe my luck. I however cannot find any info on this shop anywhere online, and there was no website on the tags :(
Now! Photo time!
The last 2 photos are the jacket with a skirt I picked up at Wave Gotik Treffen this year, I hadn't found an outfit for it yet, I have now :D I also ordered Damsel Spikes in green last week during the Solestruck 40% off sale. Cannot wait until they arrive! They are going to look perfect with this outfit!
Lastly, a couple of crappy iPhone shots of my makeup. I forgot to take some good ones while I still had it on. Trying to get used to wearing lipstick. The lipstick is Illamasqua Diablo over medium pencil in Severe. This is only the second time I have worn this lipstick since purchasing it back in February. I added a slight highlight using a light coloured eyeshadow in the center of my lips to make them appear fuller. My eyes where just a basic black smokey along the crease with Illamasqua's Precision Ink in Glister and Abyss.
Well! That is all. I hope you enjoyed this post! I cannot wait to wear this outfit out. I may wear it to work once my Damsels turn up.
